How do I add an alias to forward to an external email address?

To add an alias to to forward to an external email address, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Login to your control panel at http://www.example.com/admin/ (replace example.com with your domain name)
  2. Click on 'Email', then 'Aliases' in the left hand side navigation menu.
  3. Click on 'Add An Alias'
  4. Enter the alias you wish to use in the box provided e.g. enquiries (this would give the email address enquiries@example.com where example.com is your domain name)
  5. Then in the box next to where it says 'Forward To(outside of domain; comma-separated):' enter the email address you would like to forward the mail to e.g. name@yahoo.com (this would then mean that all emails sent to enquiries@example.com would be forwarded to name@yahoo.com). If you would like the emails addressed to that alias to be forwarded to more than one email address, then enter the email addresses in that box, separated by a comma.
  6. Then click on 'Add Alias'
  7. You can then repeat the process for each alias you wish to create.
