How do I set up my mail in Microsoft Entourage?

To send and receive emails using Microsoft Entourage, please follow the steps below.

  1. Open Microsoft Entourage
  2. Click on the 'Tools' menu, then select 'Accounts'
  3. Click on 'New'.
  4. If the Account Setup Assistant window displays, click 'Configure account manually'.
  5. Select POP as the 'Account Type' (IMAP can be used if required), and then click OK.
  6. On the Edit Account window, enter your information as follows:
  7. Enter a name by which you want to refer to the mail as, in the 'Account name' field (e.g. Personal, Work etc)
  8. Enter your first and last name (eg. Joe Blogs) in the 'Name' field.
  9. In the 'E-mail Address' field enter the email address (eg. joeblogs@example.com) that you want your mail to be sent from.
  10. In the 'Account ID' field enter your accounts username and domain name in the format of username@example.com.
  11. Enter mail.example.com (replace example.com with your domain name) as both the 'POP server' and 'SMTP server'.
  12. Enter the password for the username you have used in the 'Password' field.
  13. Click on 'Click here for more advanced sending options'.
  14. Select SMTP server requires authentication and Use same settings as receiving mail server.
  15. Click OK.

You should now be able to send and receive emails from Entourage.
